Pumpkin Pie

posted on: Tuesday, October 12, 2010

JP and I went over to my parents house for turkey dinner on Monday. This was my Thanksgiving day outfit. I felt very fall-ish. Maroon, tweed, army green.

Dinner was amazing!! The best part was the pumpkin pie. Yumm.

JP and I just recently started watching the show Dexter. We finished the first season over the weekend. It's so good! I can't wait to start onto the second season. Speaking of seconds, I finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo over the weekend as well. I couldn't put it down. It was a little slow getting into the story, but once it begins, the story gets pretty intense. Very suspenseful. I need to go out and get the second book. I have to know what happens!!!

blouse - French Connection, vest - Gap,
shorts, Old Navy: altered by Sheryl Sews, tights - Joe Fresh, shoes - Aldo

  2. the outfit looks adorable Ashley! The colours of your stockings looks good with it. I'm so glad that you and JP had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. My family and I don't really do the tradition dinner, instead we went to McDonalds. At least it was a fantastic family time :) I haven't read The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or seen the movie but I'm going to read it soon and I hope that it's going to be great!

  6. I loved the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as well! I couldn't put it down and immediately went out to get the Girl who played with fire. That's even more suspenseful. Watch out though, you might be locked in all day just to know what happens next. Now I have to go get the third one. Have you seen the films? Not as detailed, but equally as interesting.

I love your outfit here. Great vest and stockings! I've been looking for a parka jacket for quite some time now, but to no avail. If you don't mind me asking, where did you snag yours up?

  8. Thank for all the comments everyone!!

Abi - I'm so excited to read the second book! eeep. :) I started to watch the movie on the weekend but JP and I started it really late so we were too tried to finish it. I bought my jacket at American Eagle, but I got it 3 or 4 years ago.

Shy - I was told that season 2 and 3 aren't as good, but season 4 gets
good again too. I liked the first episode of season 2. :)

Abigail - I think the family time is what counts the most. Plus McDonalds has amazing little pies!!! Yumm!! Have you had that maple blueberry one? OMG soooo good!

  11. Very Fall, and very lovely outfit. Those tights are such a great color. And I think all the different olive greens in the outfit make it really interesting.

    Happy belated Thanksgiving!
