Make Up For Ever is by far one of my favourites brands, so I thought I would share a makeup look that is almost entirely from the brand. Everything that Make Up For Ever does is gold, and I'm sure that you can tell from my reviews that I am a fan. I also have a bunch of new products to share from the brand that I haven't gotten around to reviewing on the blog yet, so I thought that sharing how I use the products would be a good way to introduce them.
First of all, for my base I used the
Step 1 Skin Equalizer* to prime my skin (you can read my review
here). Next I tried out the new
Ultra HD Invisible Coverage Foundation, which I had a little sample of from Sephora. The original HD foundation was one of my favourites, and I was planning on buying it again when I ran out of my current foundation, so of course I had to test out the new version. I liked the coverage and the colour seemed to match my complexion pretty well. I had the original version several years ago so I can't make a direct comparison or say what the difference is between the old and new. All I can say is that I like both.
Next I used the
HD cream blush in 410 Coral* to add a little colour to my cheeks (read my review
here), then the new Pro Bronze Fusion bronzer in 20M Sand to warm up my complexion. This bronzer is described as ultra natural and waterproof, which I think is great for summer. Make Up For Ever even has a quick
tutorial on the website on how to apply their Pro Bronze Fusion bronzer with the Kabuki brush. I also applied a little bit of the highlighter from the Pro Sculpting Duo to the tops of my cheek bones.
For my eyes I used the
9 Artist Shadow Palette Volume 1 in Nudes*. The palette comes with a handy book with instructions on how to create three looks with the palette. I don't typically follow instructions that come with palettes and prefer to come up with my own combinations, but for this look I decided to follow along with the second look in the book called natural. This eye look used the three shadows in the middle row. Starting with the top middle shade
I-514 Pink Ivory, I applied this colour all over the lid. With a pencil brush I then applied the shade in the middle of the bottom row,
I-544 Pink Granite, along the top and bottom lashes and into the crease. Finally, I added
D-562 Taupe Platinum just above the crease and along the lower lash line. I applied the shadows very lightly because I didn't have much planned for the day, but you can definitely build the colour up for a more dramatic look. Before adding mascara I also tight lined my upper lash line with the Artist Liner in
M-60 Dark Brown to give the appearance that my lashes were thicker, but without looking like I was wearing eyeliner.
The last step was popping on a little of the
Artist Plexi-Gloss in 102P Sweet Beige* to give my lips a little shine. So there you go. An everyday look using all Make Up For Ever products. Do you have a favourite makeup brand? what's your favourite product from Make Up For Ever?
