Sunday Excursions

Whoa, sometimes it feels like I blink my eyes and weeks have disappeared! I meant to get this post out sooner, but somehow life always seems to get so busy and takes me away from blogging.

A couple weekends ago my cousin and I decided to check out Market Collective. I love finding unique locally made art, jewellery, clothes and so on at Market Collective. Last time I bought a couple photographs by Amy Victoria Wakefield, this time i bought a sweat shirt by CAMP clothing. I have literally been living in it since! The first thing I do when I'm home now is put on my CAMP sweat shirt.

So, I'm completely obsessed with the Hunger Games right now! I wanted to wait to read the books until after I saw the movie, but JP and I weren't proactive enough to buy tickets to the movie, so I broke down and started reading on the weekend. I'm halfway through the second book! Sooooo good! Has anyone else read the books or seen the movie? What did you think?

I get so excited when I see posts from you on my bloglovin feed! ;) Love the layering!

I finished all three of the books in a week, I was totally blown away with how amazing they are. I expected them to be kind of pre-teenish but they were soooo good. I can't wait to see the movie!

Your photography is so beautiful Ashley, seriously! I love the combination of feminine and masculine elements in your look- who knew that dress was meant to be paired with chambray? I wouldn't have guessed it, but it's a perfect match!

Love that you are enjoying the books! I have read them all and liked them, although I felt that the second wasn't quite as good as the first, and the third was just okay. I sorta felt like she got tired of writing or just really wanted to make it a trilogy and just smushed in a lot of random tying up of loose ends in the last few pages, which was a bit disappointing, for me.

I was dubious about the movie, as much as I wanted to see it, hoping that they wouldn't make too many changes. I went, and although of course they did make some changes there weren't really any that I minded, and Jennifer Lawrence was excellent!

(Whoa, long rambly comment, but my excuse is that when you get a librarian talking about books it's a slippery slope! ha)
