I feel like I haven't done an outfit post in forever!! These photos where taken before the holidays on a coffee and Christmas present shopping trip with my mom and sister. We've really been so lucky this year weather-wise. I've actually gotten away with not wearing a jacket for the last few days. If only the rest of winter could be like this. I don't mind the snow, I just can't take the -30 weather. Crossing my fingers that the nice weather lasts a little longer.
It still doesn't feel like 2012 to me yet. JP and I decided to spend New Years at home just the two of us drinking Strongbow and beer while having a Seinfeld marathon.
So, I've been really excited for ice skating this winter because JP and I are living in a community with a little lake and when it's frozen it's divided into a bunch of little hockey rinks and a skating path that goes around the lake. There is also a rink with a fire pit in the middle. Last Tuesday JP and I invited a couple friends to skate at the lake with us. I had hardly finished my first lap around the rink when I hit a crack in the ice and bailed. I didn't think I was hurt too badly until I tried to move my wrist and almost fainted from pain. JP took me to an urgent care clinic and we found out that I might have broke my wrist. Currently I am wearing a splint, one finger typing this blog post like when I first learned how to type. I'm waiting on a second set of x-rays to find out whether I need a cast. Yikes.

Cute outfit Ashley!! I love your boots. I had a pair like that from H & M but they broke so I returned them. I should have gotten them from Joe Fresh : )

This might be one of my favorite outfits of yours! Looove the stripes and florals and I've been wanting a pair of boots like that! I wish we had Joe Fresh...that might have to be our first stop when I come visit! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I had a feeling it was an ice skating accident. And you were so excited to go too. That stinks. :( I hope it heals quickly.
Your sister reminds me of Dakota Fanning!
ohh! Sorry about your wrist, that's rotten luck!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog via Kanata and I am officially swooning, love your outfit!
oh no, I hope you don't have to wear a cast! I had to wear one for the second part of the summer after a car accident, and it is not fun. I hope you're okay!
ReplyDeleteIn happier thoughts, I love this outfit. Stripes and florals are my favorite combination. :)
Love the outfit! Are you a fellow Calgarian? There are so few of us who blog it seems ... =)
ReplyDeleteI love that outfit! The way you tucked that sweater into the skirt looks a lot different than when I do that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's totally weird that as a Torontonian, I'm jealous of winter weather in Calgary, but it feels like months since I have worn anything less than a wool coat.

ReplyDeletei also am looking forward to going skating! I am terrible at it, but I feel like since I live so close to the canal in Ottawa that I am obligated to take part in the tradition of skating on the canal at least once.
