Fall Florals

 Well, it's officially fall. My summer vacation is over and I'm back at school which I'm actually pretty excited for. I'm taking psychopharmacology and group therapy this semester and I think both courses are going to be really interesting. JP and I took a trip to Aruba in September and it was just what I needed before getting back into the swings of things for fall. JP snorkelled almost everyday and I spent a lot of time reading on the beach. It's nice to have a break from reality every once in a while.

Summer in Banff

My family usually takes a weekend trip to Radium, BC each summer but this year everyone had a busy schedule and we couldn't make the trip work. Instead of opting completely out of a weekend in the mountains we decided to do a day trip in Banff. We walked a fairly easy trail called the Sundance Canyon which is about a three hour round trip, had lunch, then hit up the hot spirngs before we headed home. Here are a couple snaps I took of the scenery from our walk. 

Yogurty's

A few weeks back I got the chance to check out a new frozen yogurt shop in Calgary called Yogurty's. First of all it is located the cutest community called Mackenzie Towne which has a small town feel and even has a town square and clock tower in the centre. I decided to take my brother along with me to test out the froyo and we had an amazing experience. The customer service was excellent and there were plenty of options to choose from. Yogerty's is a Canadian company and is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop offering a wide selection of flavours and toppings that are rotated often so there are endless possibilities for flavour combinations. My brother chose banana split frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries and chocolate sprinkles, while I chose chocolate hazelnut (basically Nutella flavoured) frozen yogurt, peanut buttercup pieces, and chopped peanuts. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio in front of the shop to eat our frozen yogurt, but the indoor seating looked pretty cozy. I would definitely recommend checking out Yogurty's if you are a fan of frozen yogurt. 

Maybelline | The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara

I entered a contest online to win the Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes mascara and I actually won one of them! I was pretty excited because I love the traditionall The Falsies mascara, so I thought I would share my thoughts on it with all of you. 

The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara

The Big Eyes Mascara is double ended with two different sized wands, one for the upper lashes and one for the lower lashes. The bottom lash wand is definitely what sold me on this mascara. I love how the wand is small and thin so it's easy to coat your bottom lashes without smudging your mascara. It actually worked really well to separate the bottom lashes, it wasn't clumpy, and I didn't notice any fall out throughout the day. The only concern that I have is that in the past when I have owned double ended masacara's they have run out of product very quickly. Overall I am really pleased with this mascara. 

Sister Style | Back to School with Lainey #1

My little sister has taken quite a few outfit photos for me in the past, so to shake things up we thought it would be fun to shoot some photos featuring some of her outfit choices. My sister started school this week and has two back to school outfits planned for the blog. Here is the first one. 

Lainey's favourite colour is purple, so of course for her first week back at school she wanted to wear a purple dress. She also made sure she had the essentials packed in her backpack for her first week back at school including a water bottle,  day planner, lunch kit, and indoor runners.
