This morning I met up with my friend Mackenzie for coffee. We ended up heading to the reservoir, which turned into relaxing on the docks and a mini photo adventure. Mackenzie is heading to Korea soon to teach English and she will be starting her own blog to document her trip! I will miss her a ton while she is gone (she's leaving for a year!) but I know she is going to have the time of her life and am so excited for her!
So far the last couple days have been all about visiting with good friends. Sunday was a fall clothes SWAP, and I met up with some friends to check it out. I cleared out a lot of items out of my closet, and picked up a flannel button up and some wool shorts. Afterwards I headed over to my cousins place for a much needed catch up.
My unemployment stint is lasting a little longer than I would have liked, but I'm making the most of it and spending as much time as I can with friends and family. It's been really nice to be able to pick up my little sister from school and catch up on some Family Channel shows with her. Right now we are loving Jessie and A.N.T. Farm.

ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're making the most of your time off! When I stress about finances, I remind myself: in 10 years, am I going to remember the money I had or the time I spent with family and friends? It helps me to keep things in perspective, though it sounds like you're already doing a great job of that. :)
ReplyDeleteAshley, what a perfectly cute relaxing day at the docks outfit! love your floaty dress with the rugged boots, nice mix!! it is bittersweet when friends move on to other worldly cities but it's pretty cool she'll begin blogging, that should keep you in the loop with all her goings on : )
