Spring Collective

Today was my friday off of work. I spend my day first by getting my car into the shop for some repairs, then afterwards my mom and I headed to a nearby pool to swim lengths. I hadn't swam in such a long time. I didn't realize how much I missed it. It's just so relaxing. I feel rejuvenated and reenergized. I'm going to have to commit to going more often.

Royal Wedding Fever

The upcoming royal wedding is making me all nostalgic for my own recent wedding in February. No matter how simple or extravagant a wedding may be, I think every girl feels like a princess on their wedding day. 

Calgary Model Search & People's Choice Contest

Today I attended a media presser announcing exciting news for Calgarians. Sophia Models, Alberta Fashion Week and Live Cosmo have teamed up to create a online/social media model search and peoples choice contest coinciding with the upcoming Alberta Fashion Week.

Get Fabricated

Saturday I attended Fabricated, a fashion event held at The Grand Theatre in downtown Calgary. The show featured designs by Peeko Apparel, Apiana Que, Jalu Clothing and Kaadiki. 

The venue was magnificent. The perfect setting for mingling and chatting with fellow fashion loving Calgarians. While we waited for the show to start, myself, KD and Chelsey sipped on champagne and white wine while browsing through the talented vendors. 

All the designers presented lovely collections. In Ania B.'s words, "The models rocked all four shows". The show that really caught my eye though was Jalu. The collection was very wearable, and I could see myself acquiring every single piece. Every time a model would walk down the runway I would exclaim to KD "I want that!!"

All in all, I had one spectacular night. I'm so excited that so many wonderful people have been pulling together to make fashion events more frequent and prominent in Calgary. It's making life that much more inspiring.

H&M in the Core

Wednesday I attended the pre-opening of the flagship H&M store at the CORE in downtown Calgary. It was an amazing evening filled with shopping and mingling with friends. 

My always stylish friend Chelsey, accompanied me to the event. We were greeted with a glass of champagne,  then immediately explored the store for fabulous new finds.  I picked up  the blouse on the mannequin in the photo below, floral shorts and an assortment of accessories. Chelsey grabbed the blazer and white jeans from the mannequin below along with a couple rompers. 

After perusing the store, Chelsey and I met up with fellow Calgary bloggers KD of The Girl with the Messy Hair, and Amy of Flying a Kite. It's always great when I get to see these two girls. 

Next up: Fabricated Saturday April 16th. Can't wait!

Delta's in the Park

Another amazing Sunday. I met up with some of my dearest friends, Mel, Mackenzie, and Hayley for brunch. Mel and I have known each other since high school, and Mel and Mackenzie have known each other even longer, but we all became good friends at University. I can't imagine my life without these girls.

Terrible Snowball

I had the day off of work today so I spend it with my mom. It was a really great day. We had coffees and chatted in the morning, went out for lunch, picked up my little sister from school, then headed to the mall, and went on a little shopping spree for my sister. She seriously has the cutest clothes! She picked out some items on her own, and she picked out this amazing zebra scarf. I'm so jealous. Love it. I wish I was as stylish as her when I was in grade two! 

I'm really looking forward to next week. I have some exciting events coming up that I can't wait to share with all of you.

Still Got My Stripes

I am so in love. 

With my husband, and with our new camera. Yesterday we had a blast together taking pictures for the blog. I'm seriously having so much fun being married. I know that in reality not much has changed. We've been together for almost eight years, we've lived together for two years, yet, something is different. And I love it.
