Today is a wonderful day.
I woke up early and took a walk to Tim Horton's to grab a coffee and a bagel for breakfast. Then I spent a leisurely morning basking in the sun on my balcony. Soon I'll be heading over to my parents house to go for a walk with my mom and pick up my little sister from school. Unemployment is pretty nice when it's a sunny day, and all you want to do is spend the day outside.
I'm getting really excited for the next couple of weeks. My blogs anniversary is coming up, JPs band is playing a show on Saturday, there is a big Clothes Swap this Sunday, I'm going to a psychology conference on sex addictions on Monday, and the PARK Designer Sample Sale is next Saturday!!
Wednesday was the VIP pre-opening party for the stand alone Joe Fresh store in Crossiron Mills Mall, and let me tell you, it was fantastic!!! I picked up the most wonderful blue silk shorts for $40, and I got to meet and speak with Joseph Mimran, the creative director of Joe Fresh, and the co-founder of Club Monaco. When I was in elementary school Club Monaco sweatshirts were all the rage and I remember being so obsessed with my navy blue one. I've also been a fan of Joe Fresh since it opened in Superstore grocery stores five years ago, so it was a pretty exciting moment for me. I'll be doing a post on the pre-opening soon!
