Here is another product that I have taken way to long to post about. I bought the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer during the Sephora VIB sale back in November (check out my post here), so this post has been a long time coming. I picked up the shade Vanilla, and I think this is a pretty good shade for me. Initially when I used this concealer I didn't like it at all. It took me a few times using it before I figured out what the problem was. My skin was getting drier then usual going into the winter months and I had run out of my eye cream, so the NARS concealer was just not blending well and was creasing like crazy. As soon as I picked up a new eye cream everything changed and I have fallen head over heals for this concealer. My winter base routine has been to first apply Hydraluron, then apply my day cream and eye cream and let those sink into the skin. I then apply my NARS concealer to my under eye area to brighten and hide any dark circles, then go in with my foundation last. I usually apply my concealer first before my foundation, although I will occasionally switch it up and apply it after. I go with the method of applying my concealer first because I had the Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty book when I was growing up and this is the way Bobbi Brown applies concealer.
Have you tried the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer? What are your concealer recommendations?

At the moment I am just using the Benefit Erase Paste in Fair and the Rimmel Wake Up Concealer in Ivory. I have really wanted to try this concealer, I have heard many great things about it :) I have dry skin, so I am worried that this concealer may cling to my dry patches - great post Ashley x

Love this concealer! It's fast become my favourite of the brightening concealers ahead of my trusty Rimmel. Need a new tube soon! x

This is something I have been putting off trying for too long!

Personally for me, I don't think its the be all and end all. I much prefer the clarins instant. For blemishes I reall like the hourglass stick concealer, I feel both of these last far longer and wear better on me. The nars certainly isn't the worst concealer I have used, but it's kind of middle of the road for me.

I have a love hate relationship with this Nars concealer, it really brightens my under eyes but I have to set it with a powder as I have very oily eyelids. For blemishes I have the lightest shade but it's a bit too light and the next shade up is too dark so I'm in a bit of a pickle haha :)

The concealer's my high end favourite, but the dupe I found is so good!

This has become my favorite concealer ever. I have already repurchased one. Although I agree, when skin is very dry it's not best. x
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely my favourite concealer! It covers so well, definitely lives up to the hype!

ahhh girl! I've been looking to pic up this concealer but I'm so glad I read this first. Good to know eye cream might help, considering I have dry skin too. x
ReplyDeleteYa. I was a little surprised that it didn't work well for me at first because of all the rave reviews, so I'm glad I figured out that eye cream helped!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the dupe that you found?
ReplyDeleteOh that's too bad you are an in-between shade! it's such a hassle to have to use two different concealers. I think I like this one best under the eyes, but I do have to set it with a powder too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the Clarins or Hourglass concealers. I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the recommendations :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the Rimmel concealer too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really like the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer too. I haven't tried the Benefit one. I'll have to check it out. Are you able to get a sample or tester made up of the Nars concealer before you decide to purchase it? That always helps me make a decision if I'm unsure.
