Holiday Spirit

About a week ago the lovely Rebecca of Lot 65 featured me in a post with a few other amazing Canadian bloggers. I had actually been thinking of doing a similar feature, so her post presented me with a great opportunity to carry it forward and feature a few more Canadian blogs that I know you all will love!

First up is Vickie from Adventures in Fashion. She has a closet of clothes that I'm envious of, she makes cool stop motion videos, and seems like one of the sweetest people ever! She is also from Alberta, so it's great to have someone to look to for "same weather condition" inspiration!

If you haven't checked out Kassandra's blog, Kastles, you are missing out! She is a Joe Fresh fan like myself, and she was recently featured in Fashion Magazine! Her style is sweet, yet she often throws in an edgy twist. Like Vickie she is also from Alberta, which I absolutely love!

Lynn (Hearted Girl) - Definitely one of the most sincere people in the blogosphere. Not only does she come across as an amazing person, she is super fashionable, and a graphic design genius! Her blog is always full of inspirational ideas and images. She also works with Ekhart Tolle!!!! I'm so jealous.

I only recently discovered Alicia's blog, Alicafashionista, but once I discovered it I couldn't stop reading! Her writing style invites you in and makes you feel like you are good friends. She's easily relatable, has a unique sense of style, and beautiful photos.

Hope you guts enjoyed the feature! The guru of Canadian blog lists is Natalie Brooke, so if you would like to explore more Canadian blogs click HERE!!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

posted on: Tuesday, December 6, 2011

This is the outfit I wore to the Twas The Night shopping event last week. Normally when I go to events I use it as an excuse to shop for a new outfit, usually a new dress, but I'm on a tight budget right now so I had to think of another plan. I recently wore this dress to the Jalu sale a month or so ago, but really wanted to wear it again, so I decided to pile on some layers overtop to disguise it as a skirt!

I seriously can't even believe it's December already! JP and I started decorating our house and Christmas tree over the weekend. I love pulling out all of my ornaments each year and finding the perfect spot on the tree for them. My mom's tradition has always been to put a new ornament in our stocking each year, so by the time I moved out on my own I had enough unique ornaments to adorn my own tree! Each ornament sparks a special Christmas memories for me. I could stare at them for hours and reminisce.

Have you noticed my new clutch? I received it from the Lovely Hina of Nuage 9 and just adore it! It's handwoven with white, gold and black pieces of leather. Nuage 9 not only has amazing clutches, but also has a new collection of wool hats! If you would like to win a wool hat, enter my giveaway here

Joe Fresh Holiday Wish List

I'm on a huge Joe Fresh kick right now. I'm loving everything. Above are just a few of the items from Joe Fresh on my holiday wish list. I also recently won a Joe Fresh giveaway over on Rebecca's blog, Lot 65 and am just so ridiculously happy with all the items she sent me! A striped top, fun bauble necklace, and nail polish! I literally put the nail polish on immediately after opening the package and wore the top and necklace the next day! Thank you so much Rebecca!

Twas The Night

Last Wednesday Calgary kicked off the holiday season with Twas The Night, a private, late night shopping event celebrating the Core Shopping Centre's grand opening as well as a fundraiser for The United Way and The National Music Centre Project. Over 7000 people attended and approximately $40000 was raised for these two non-profit organizations!! Some of the highlights from the night were a red carpet entrance hosted by Canada's top blogger and CTV's eTalk reporter, Lainey Lui, performances from Juno award winner Chantal Kreviazuk and the Calgary girls choir, Papyrus paper fashion show, an indoor fireworks display, and an appearance from the Mayor. Here are some photos I snapped from the night.

I'd like to thank Bellissima for asking me to guest post. I had so much fun styling up all the items!
Here is a round up of all four post. If you haven't visited my previous three posts yet, the links are below the photos. Which one is your favourite?
